Euro 2012 Group A: Poland 1 Russia 1

Euro 2012 co-hosts Poland came from behind to win a crucial point in an exciting 1-1 draw against Russia in Warsaw on Tuesday.

Russia entered the game on the back of a 4-1 victory over the Czech Republic in their Euro 2012 opener and took the lead after 37 minutes through Alan Dzagoev.

Dzagoev who scored twice against the Czechs headed Andrey Arshavin s free-kick past Polish goalkeeper Przemyslaw Tyton and into the back of the net.

Polish captain Jakub Blaszczykowski produced a stunning response, though, scoring a long-range left-footer from outside the box just 12 minutes into the second half.

Russia still top Group A with four points from two matches but the Czech Republic (three points), Poland (two points) and Greece (one point) are all within striki…

Women´s Super League Predictions: Arsenal look to end Bompastor´s perfect start at Chelsea

Matchday four of the Women s Super League promises drama, with key matches taking place at both ends of the table.

Chelsea are back in WSL action after having their match against Manchester United postponed due to a fixture clash last weekend, and kick off the weekend against fellow title challengers, Arsenal, who are looking to recover from a slightly underwhelming start to the season.

On Sunday, Brighton, who were tipped as relegation favourites at the start of the campaign, are looking to build on their emphatic start against promoted Crystal Palace, who got their first-ever WSL win against Leicester City last weekend.

Euro 2012 final preview: Spain v Italy

Reigning European and world champions Spain hold no fears for Italy as the two sides prepare to meet in Sunday s Euro 2012 final in Kiev.

Neither side have lost a match in the tournament so far but it will be the Italians who enter the showpiece in better form.

Cesare Prandelli s side were excellent in their quarter-final win over England – which was only decided on penalties because of their poor finishing – and they backed it up with a superb 2-1 victory against an in-form Germany.

And although Spain will enter the final as favourites, Prandelli is confident his side can cause problems for their opponents.

We only have one day to prepare for this game but we will try to find Spain s weaknesses, Prandelli said.

They are the world and Europ…

Klopp reflects on 2022 in Liverpool Christmas message

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is proud of his team s achievements in 2022, including reaching a Champions League final he acknowledged was not one to remember.

The Reds finished second behind Manchester City in the Premier League last season, with the title race coming down to the final day.

Liverpool also won both domestic cup competitions, beating Chelsea on penalties on each occasion at Wembley Stadium.

However, their season ended in disappointment when their league heartbreak was followed by a 1-0 defeat to Real Madrid in Paris.

That match was marred by an incident outside the Stade de France, where Liverpool fans were accused of using fake tickets to access the ground and subsequently caused a bottleneck that resulted in riot police firing tear gas …

On This Day in 2016: Valencia sack Gary Neville

Gary Neville was sacked by Valencia on this day in 2016 after spending only four months as the Spanish side’s head coach.

The former Manchester United and England defender, who at the time was part of Roy Hodgson’s England coaching staff, was dismissed just 28 games into what was his first management role.

That featured 10 wins, seven draws and 11 losses, including a 7-0 thrashing at Barcelona in the Copa del Rey.

Best Spot Bets for NFL Week 7: Pick a Card…

Situational handicapping is a great way to find NFL betting value where the advanced models and metrics fall short.

Also known as spot bets, these angles and edges consider the psyche of teams heading into their next matchup, predicting which ones are ripe for a letdown, lookahead or face an uphill climb because of their spot in the schedule.

Knowing When to Buy Points on NFL Lines in 2023

Many sportsbooks offer bettors a chance at picking up an extra half-point on a spread for a greater reward, but the juice is always in the books’ favor. We’ll teach you how to shop smart with practical examples.

NFL Week 9 Bet Now, Bet Later: How Low Will Fins-Chiefs Total Go?

When we were kids, we had a strategic system when it came to Trick-or-Treating on Halloween.

We’d quickly hit the new part of the subdivision that had plenty of duplexes, which meant getting two treats for every house. The value was there and ripe for the picking early in the evening.

Once our pillowcases were overflowing, we’d drop those off and grab a fresh sack for the old part of the neighborhood later in the night.

See, nobody went to that part of the subdivision anymore. So, by the time we got there, folks were dumping half their treat stock in our bags just to get rid of it.

I take the same approach to the NFL Week 9 odds, grabbing the value with the opening spreads and totals now and then waiting to score more a little l…
